Historical Rome tour will bring you back in time to the foundation of the Eternal City.
The tour starts in front of the Colosseum, the ancient amphitheatre where gladiators fought for their life. You will then move to the Arch of Constantine, to have a view of the Palatine Hill, where the Roman Emperors had their palaces.
The tour continues with the Circus Maximus, the ancient Roman chariot racing stadium and other archaeological ruins like the Roman Forum, that you will see from the Avenue of Roman Emperors. Make sure you aren’t lying, or the Mouth of Truth will bite your hand!
You will see the most important archaeological sites of ancient Rome, representative of the history of this incredible city, from the foundation to the Republic of Rome to the Roman Empire.
You will get a grip on the daily life, the economy, the politics, the religion of the first metropolis in the history of the mankind. This is a relaxing walking tour, set for who doesn’t like to stay in line to see crowded places inside, but prefers to spend his time outside, walking across the beauty of Rome and taking memorable pictures.
The final part of this tour will show you the Vittoriano, the triumphal monument in honor of Victor Emmanuel II, the first King of Italy, and Piazza Venezia, with the balcony from where Mussolini announced that Italy was involved in World War II.

I really hope I spelled his name right. Andreas arranged for this young man to take my wife, mother and myself all over Rome after we arrived that morning. we spent a wonderful 4 hours with him and the price was well worth it. We saw the Roman baths, the Pantheon and he dropped us off in a little food and shopping district for a few minutes to wander. My mother lucked out and walked up to the Santa Maria Della Scalla which had been closed a year. The priest opened the gates to invite us in to this magnificent Church and see their renovation. Alexsi also provided us with a great dinner recommendation that night when he dropped us off.

A walking tour through historical Rome was the perfect way to wind down our amazing Honeymoon; we could stroll through the city and learn more about the beautiful sights we had seen while on our trip. The tour was fun and we even got to see some spots we hadn’t seen yet like the Altar of the Nations which was incredible.

After trying just about every type of tour you can take during our world travels, I’ve discovered that private walking tours are by far my favorite; you get to enjoy the city and sites as slowly or as quickly as you want and spend quality time with the people you are vacationing with. The Historical Rome tour is now my favorite of those types of tours! The Avenue of Roman Emperors toward the end was my favorite stop, but every person in our party had a different favorite because it was all wonderful.
